Admin Console

Manage domains, mailboxes, members, routing, storage, and billing from one place.

The admin console at workspace.axene.io/admin is where owners and admins run the organisation: domains, mailboxes, aliases, members, security policies, storage, and billing. Members do not see it; every admin API requires the owner or admin role (see Team & Members for roles).

You can reach it from the account menu in webmail, or by going to /admin directly.

Layout

The sidebar is grouped into four areas:

GroupPages
OrganizationOverview, Domains, Members, Audit log
MailMailboxes, Aliases, Groups, Routing, Migration
BillingSubscription, Payment method, Invoices, Storage
SecurityPolicies, Deliverability

Overview

The landing page (/admin) is a dashboard for the whole organisation:

  • Mail activity - recent send and receive volume.
  • Domains - each domain with its verification state.
  • Setup checklist - the remaining steps to get fully operational (verify DNS, create mailboxes, invite your team).
  • Billing - current plan, active mailbox count, and next charge. A past-due banner appears here and across the console if a renewal is unpaid.
  • Deliverability - authentication status at a glance.
  • Recent activity - the latest audit log entries.

Domains

Admin > Domains lists every domain in the organisation with its DNS status. From here you add a new domain and open a per-domain page showing each required record (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, ownership), what is currently published, and a recheck button.

Mailboxes

Admin > Mailboxes is the full mailbox directory. You can:

  • Create a mailbox: choose the local part (e.g. kelvin), the domain, a display name, and an initial password, and optionally assign it to a member.
  • Filter by address, name, or owner.
  • Open a mailbox to reset its password, adjust its quota, deactivate it, or manage its app passwords.

On paid plans you are billed per active mailbox, so creating a mailbox changes your next charge. The Free plan is capped at one mailbox. See Billing & Plans.

Aliases and groups

Admin > Aliases manages extra addresses that deliver into existing mailboxes:

  • Aliases - a single address (e.g. [email protected]) that delivers to one mailbox.
  • Groups - a distribution address (e.g. [email protected]) that delivers a copy to several members.

Aliases cost nothing; they are not mailboxes and do not affect billing.

Routing

Admin > Routing is a read-only map of every address the organisation accepts and where each one delivers: mailboxes, aliases, and groups in one table. Filter by domain, by kind (mailbox, alias, group), or search by address or destination. Use it to answer "who receives mail sent to this address?" without clicking through each page.

Migration

Admin > Migration ("Bring your mail with you") imports existing mail from your old provider over IMAP. Pick Gmail, Zoho, or Yahoo for preset server details, or enter any custom IMAP host. You provide the source address and password (for Gmail this is a Google app password), choose the destination mailbox, and the import runs in the background while you keep working. Progress is shown per mailbox.

Members and invites

Admin > Members lists everyone in the organisation with their role, title, department, and 2FA status. Owners and admins invite new members and manage pending invites from here. The full flow is covered in Team & Members.

Audit log

Admin > Audit log records administrative actions: who did what, to which target, and when. Each event carries an action (e.g. member.invite, mailbox.create), the actor, the target, and a severity. You can:

  • Search by action, actor, or target.
  • Filter by severity and date.
  • Export the log as CSV for compliance or offline review.

Security policies

Admin > Security sets organisation-wide policies:

  • Password policy - minimum requirements for mailbox and account passwords.
  • Two-factor authentication - require 2FA for members.
  • Session & sign-in - session lifetime and sign-in restrictions.

Deliverability

Admin > Deliverability shows domain authentication health for every domain: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX status. Fixing anything flagged here directly improves inbox placement for mail your team sends.

Storage

Admin > Storage shows plan storage (how much your plan grants per mailbox and in total) and a per-mailbox breakdown, so you can spot the mailboxes using the most space before they hit quota.

Billing

Admin > Billing ("Subscription & payment") is split into Subscription, Payment method, and Invoices tabs, plus the Storage page above. Plan changes and cancellation are owner-only. Everything on this surface is documented in Billing & Plans.
